810 THE RETURN

 

Scripture: Mattiyahu (Mat) 6:14-15 THE WAY YOU DO, WILL BE APPLIED TO YOU.

 

SYNOPSIS: All Shabbat’s are special, but this one is even more special. This Shabbat is called “Shabbat Shuvah”, the day of returning. In today’s HaShabbat lesson we are going to study real biblical forgiveness. What YESHUA meant when HE said; if you do not forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will not forgive yours. I thought we were living under grace? Can you fool YEHOVAH? Can you trick HIM? If you say you forgive but can’t be in the same room with that person are you really even saved? Find out in today’s lesson.

HASHABBAT LESSON 1: SHABBAT SHUVAH. Mattiyahu (Mat) 6:14-15 THE WAY YOU DO, WILL BE APPLIED TO YOU.

Mat 6:14  For if you forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; Mat 6:15  but if you do not forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will not forgive yours. 

 

Vayikra (Lev) 23:23-27 Why 10 days?

Lev 23:26  YEHOVAH said to Moshe, Lev 23:27  "The tenth day of this seventh month is Yom-Kippur; you are to have a holy convocation, you are to deny yourselves, and you are to bring an offering made by fire to YEHOVAH. 

 

The Shabbat between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur is called Shabbat Shuvah, Shabbat of Return because its special haftarah reading begins with the words Shuvah Yisrael "Return O Israel," from the prophecy of Hoshea. Hos 14:2  Return, Isra'el, to YEHOVAH your God, for your guilt has made you stumble.

FORGIVE: G863 ἀφίημι aphiēmi Thayer Definition: 1) to send away 2) to bid going away or depart 3) of a husband divorcing his wife 4) to disregard

 

Psalm 33:1-5 He loves righteousness and justice.

Psa 33:5  He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the grace of YEHOVAH. 

 

JUSTICE: H4941 משׁפּט  mishpâṭ BDB Definition: 1) judgment, justice, ordinance 2) act of deciding a case 3) process, procedure, litigation (before judges) 4) proper, fitting, measure, fitness, custom, manner, plan

D’varim (Deut) 30:3 reverse your exile and show you mercy.

Deu 30:3  At that point, YEHOVAH your God will reverse your exile and show you mercy; he will return and gather you from all the peoples to which YEHOVAH your God scattered you.

Zec 7:9  "In the past YEHOVAH-Tzva'ot said, 'Administer true justice. Let everyone show mercy and compassion to his brother.

Mattiyahu (Mat) 5:21-26 leave your gift.

KEY V: Mat 5:23  So if you are offering your gift at the Temple altar and you remember there that your brother has something against you, 

Mat 5:24  leave your gift where it is by the altar, and go, make peace with your brother. Then come back and offer your gift. 

 

PEACE – RECONCILED: G1259 διαλλάσσω diallassō  Thayer Definition: 1) to change the mind of anyone, to reconcile 2) to be reconciled, to renew friendship with one

ANGER – ANGRY: G3710 ὀργίζω orgizō  Thayer Definition: 1) to provoke, to arouse to anger 2) to be provoked to anger, be angry, be wroth

 

Anger - a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility. Synonyms: annoyance, exasperation, irritation, displeasure, resentment.

Rom 12:20  On the contrary, "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. For by doing this, you will heap fiery coals [of shame] on his head." 

Rom 12:21  Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.

The Shabbat before Yom Kippur is a gift from the KINGDOM

Take this time to truly speak to those who may cause you exasperation, irritation, displeasure

And give a 100% effort to set things right before heaven

Try your best

Try your hardest

Don’t point fingers at them

Be humble

Remember if YESHUA forgave all your breaking of the mitzvot

But still showed you grace & compassion

Show the person YESHUA also died for that same grace & compassion HE is!!!

THE WAY YOU FORGIVE, WILL BE APPLIED TO YOU!!!

AMEIN & AMEIN!!!

 

Remember Yeshua the Messiah is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever.
