582 walking in the new life

SYNOPSIS: What we are going to look at today in this teaching is what does it mean to have a new life? What does it mean to leave the old life behind? What does it mean to go through the immersion of three thousand feet of water? What does it mean to come to the other side of the river? To look back and see those who wanted you dead, dead? What do you do with this new found freedom? Do you sin more to make the deaths of those people worthless? Do you leave Egypt but Egypt does not leave you?

Hold place because we are going to keep coming back to this verse

Sh’mot 14:10-29 immersion into the dry sea but death in the sea to those who don’t change their lives

Key Verses: Exo 14:28  The water came back and covered all the chariots and cavalry of Pharaoh's army who had followed them into the sea — not even one of them was left. Exo 14:29  But the people of Isra'el walked on dry ground in the sea, with the water walled up for them on their right and on their left.

Sh’mot 14:10-29

Exo 14:13  Moshe answered the people, "Stop being so fearful! Remain steady, and you will see how Adonai is going to save you. He will do it today — today you have seen the Egyptians, but you will never see them again!

Exo 14:16

Rom 6:4

Exo 14:22  Then the people of Isra'el went into the sea on the dry ground, with the water walled up for them on their right and on their left. Exo 14:23  The Egyptians continued their pursuit, going after them into the sea — all Pharaoh's horses, chariots and cavalry.

Rom 6:4

Exo 14:22-23

Exo 14:27-28

Exo 14:29

THEME 2: LEAVING THE OLD LIFE BEHIND IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH

Romans 6:1-4 immersion into a new life

Rom 6:1  So then, are we to say, "Let's keep on sinning, so that there can be more grace"? Rom 6:2  Heaven forbid! How can we, who have died to sin, still live in it?

HOLD PLACE

KEY V: Exo 32:4  He received what they gave him, melted it down, and made it into the shape of a calf. They said, "Isra'el! Here is your god, who brought you up from the land of Egypt!"

Sh’mot 32:1-25 THE PEOPLE NEEDED SOMETHING FAMILIAR TO THEMSELVES

Exo 32:1  When the people saw that Moshe was taking a long time to come down from the mountain, they gathered around Aharon and said to him, "Get busy; and make us gods to go ahead of us; because this Moshe, the man that brought us up from the land of Egypt — we don't know what has become of him."

Exo 32:3-4

Exo 32:6

Revelry Ref Gen 26:8  But one day, after he had lived there a long time, Avimelekh king of the P'lishtim happened to be looking out of a window when he spotted Yitz'chak caressing Rivkah his wife.

HOLD PLACE

Rom 6:1  So then, are we to say, "Let's keep on sinning, so that there can be more grace"? Rom 6:2  Heaven forbid! How can we, who have died to sin, still live in it?

Rom 1:22  Claiming to be wise, they have become fools! Rom 1:23  In fact, they have exchanged the glory of the immortal God for mere images, like a mortal human being, or like birds, animals or reptiles! Rom 1:24  This is why God has given them up to the vileness of their hearts' lusts, to the shameful misuse of each other's bodies.

Exo 32:6

Exo 32:8

Exo 32:21-22

Exo 32:22

Exo 32:24-25

Gen 19:26  But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a column of salt.

Ref Mat 5:13  "You are salt for the Land. But if salt becomes tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except being thrown out for people to trample on. Mat 5:14  "You are light for the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

Philippians 3:12-14 perusing the goal

Php 3:12  It is not that I have already obtained it or already reached the goal — no, I keep pursuing it in the hope of taking hold of that for which the Messiah Yeshua took hold of me.

Php 3:14

1 Cor 9:24-27 Run the race
