"Jew & Gentile One in Messiah"

As it was in the beginning so it will be in the end-of-days

Statement of Faith for Beth Goyim Messianic Congregation

Do we need to be circumcised?

A proper biblical view for the Jew and anyone who calls themselves a Christian.

Heb 13:8  Yeshua the Messiah is the same yesterday, today and forever.

At Beth Goyim Messianic Congregation we believe that Yeshua is the Messiah. We believe He is the foretold one written about in Scripture in over 400 places foretelling His coming. Yeshua brought salvation to both Jew & Gentile enabling each person to enter into a relationship with Him. BGMC believes that Yeshua never changes. He never changes His mind. He never breaks a VOW. We count on this never changing King as the foundation of our faith. If Adonai changes from time period to time period then He is not worth following. If Adonai was the same in the Garden of Eden, If Adonai was the same at the Flood of Noach, If He was the same when He spoke with Avraham, If He was the same when He destroyed S’dom & Amora, If He was the same at the burning bush with Moshe, If He was the same when He took us by the hand out of Egypt, then HE is the same today. He is not the type of King who says one thing to one group of people and something completely different and contradictory to His previous commandments to another group of people. Also one might note that while “Under Grace” with no written TORAH Yehovah, kicked Adom & Chavah out of the Garden. While “Under Grace” with no written TORAH Yehovah, flooded the world. While “Under Grace” with no written TORAH Yehovah, destroyed S’dom & Amora. While “Under Grace” with no written TORAH Yehovah, we lived as slaves in Egypt under manmade rules.

Gen 1:26  Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in the likeness of ourselves; and let them rule over the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the animals, and over all the earth, and over every crawling creature that crawls on the earth."

Gen 1:27  So God created man in his own image; in the image of God he created him: male and female he created them.

As is seen very plainly here Av “The Father” is speaking to Yeshua His son and says to Him; let us make man in our image. For this particular paper the only reason I am pointing this out is proof that Yeshua the Messiah was there at the beginning. This is necessary to prove for the previous Hebrews Scripture that Yeshua NEVER changes. That from the beginning it was Elohim (Av, Yeshua & Ruach HaKodesh) who gave us, the people their way of how to live our lives. The word Torah does not mean “LAW” is means teachings. So if Elohim said we should do things a certain way, being the creator He would know what was best way to live our lives, to eat, drink and many, many other things.

1Sa 15:29  Moreover, the Eternal One of Isra'el will not lie or change his mind, because he isn't a mere human being subject to changing his mind."

In this 1 Sa. Scripture we see also very clearly that our Adonai does not change His mind ever. From the time of the founding of the world until its ultimate ending Yehovah never changes His ways or His order. This understanding is extremely important to properly live in the world we are living today. There are many extremely bad doctrines of men out in the world today. There are the “Replacement theology” people who say that Yehovah is done with the Jews and no longer has a covenant with them. If that were true then this 1 Sa. Scripture would be a lie.

Gen 17:1  When Avram was 99 years old Adonai appeared to Avram and said to him, "I am El Shaddai [God Almighty]. Walk in my presence and be pure-hearted.

Gen 17:2  I will make my covenant between me and you, and I will increase your numbers greatly."

Gen 17:3  Avram fell on his face, and God continued speaking with him:

Gen 17:4  "As for me, this is my covenant with you: you will be the father of many nations.

Gen 17:5  Your name will no longer be Avram [exalted father], but your name will be Avraham [father of many], because I have made you the father of many nations.

Gen 17:6  I will cause you to be very fruitful. I will make nations of you, kings will descend from you.

Gen 17:7  "I am establishing my covenant between me and you, along with your descendants after you, generation after generation, as an everlasting covenant, to be God for you and for your descendants after you.

As you can plainly see the evidence is clear that El Shaddai made a covenant with this particular blood line of Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’akov and no other. El Shaddai would never change this covenant because a person broke their end of the covenant. The person would be destroyed or chastised because they broke the covenant but the covenant will not be destroyed. Any person who speaks of Replacement theology or a breaking of this covenant is misguided by satan, Yehovah’s enemy. The other thing to understand about this covenant is that Yehovah would never tell a prophet, talmidim, or apostle that the covenant has been changed, done away with, replaced, for we know that Yehovah never changes.

Joh 10:30  I and the Father are one."

Yeshua the Messiah says it all in these six words. I and the Father are one. That means they are in complete agreement with everything. No difference of opinion. Everything that they had set up from the time of the Gan Eden “Garden of Eden” and those commandments are still the same. Yeshua lived in them when He walked as a man among us. The men He chose for His Talmidim “Disciples” lived these perfect commandments also.

Joh 14:15  "If you love me, you will keep my commands;

Very simple statement about what Yeshua thinks love is. If you love me you WILL keep my commands. Now what commands might Yeshua the Messiah be talking about? Now remember Yeshua never changes. Now remember HE was there when Adom & Chavah got kicked out of the Gan Eden and the animal had to die for their sin. Remember Yeshua was there when the flood happened and all those people died. Remember Yeshua was there when S’dom & Amora was destroyed and all those people died. So when Yeshua gives you His definition of love and that definition of love is Keep my commands that means all of them. The ones that specifically apply to you. Like if you’re a man you do not have to worry about having your period like a woman because you don’t have one. So in that case and for those teachings from Yehovah a man does not have to worry about certain bathing rituals. Also remember the word commands or Torah, mean the teachings from Heaven.

DECEPTION

Mat 24:15  "So when you see the abomination that causes desolation spoken about through the prophet Dani'el standing in the Holy Place" (let the reader understand the allusion),

Mat 24:16  "that will be the time for those in Y'hudah to escape to the hills.

The word deception and its Hebrew understanding is truly needed. The word in Hebrew for deception is H4820  מרמה  mirmâh BDB Definition: 1) deceit, treachery

Our adversary satan his greatest tool is mirmah deception. Most Christians read these words spoken by Yeshua Himself in Mat 24 and fail to understand the depth and the deep meaning of these words. Yeshua points to a time in the future that the adversary satan will once again put his image in the “SET APART” place ie. The Holy of Holies. This occurred once before in the time between the TANAK “OT” and the Brit Hadasha “NT”. It was the time of the Maccabees. Many people know it as Chanukah and oil lasting for 8 days. That did not happen and if you want a full understand you can watch our study on www.bethgoyim.org/holydays . What did happen and is needed knowledge for this Circumcision paper is this;

1Ma 1:41  Moreover king Antiochus wrote to his whole kingdom, that all should be one people,

1Ma 1:42  And every one should leave his laws: so all the heathen agreed according to the commandment of the king.

1Ma 1:43  Yea, many also of the Israelites consented to his religion, and sacrificed unto idols, and profaned the sabbath.

1Ma 1:44  For the king had sent letters by messengers unto Jerusalem and the cities of Juda that they should follow the strange laws of the land,

1Ma 1:45  And forbid burnt offerings, and sacrifice, and drink offerings, in the temple; and that they should profane the sabbaths and festival days:

1Ma 1:46  And pollute the sanctuary and holy people:

1Ma 1:47  Set up altars, and groves, and chapels of idols, and sacrifice swine's flesh, and unclean beasts:

1Ma 1:48  That they should also leave their children uncircumcised, and make their souls abominable with all manner of uncleanness and profanation:

1Ma 1:49  To the end they might forget the law, and change all the ordinances.

So when Yeshua points to this in Mat 24:15-16 He is saying a lot. One you would not understand this if one you were not brought up Jewish. Two you were following man made doctrine as if it was from Heaven. Remember when Yeshua came there was NO Gentile talmidim, NONE. So if some man says we don’t have to do Shabbat anymore you say, thank but no thanks. I follow Yehovah not man. If some man says start eating pork because Kefa/peter had a vision in Acts 10. You say no thanks but no thanks Kefa did not eat the food in Acts 10 and neither will I. The reason satan is working so hard to deceive many people into thinking they do not need to be circumcised is Rev. 14 and the 144,000 virgin Jewish men.

DID THE TEACHINGS “LAW” CHANGE IN THE “NT”?

Mat 5:17  "Don't think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete.

Mat 5:18  Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud ( י ) or a stroke will pass from the Torah — not until everything that must happen has happened.

Mat 5:19  So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys them and so teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

The question one might ask is, are we in heaven? So if the answer is no then all the teaching that Yeshua gave to us from the Shabbat, to what we can and can’t eat are still in effect, to this day. These are the words of Messiah Yeshua. Not one little thing will be changed until He brings a new heaven and a new earth.

Now the question we must ask if you accept Yeshua as Lord and Savior and do not change your life to follow in His footsteps are you really saved? No. The next question does Yehovah desire sacrifice or obedience to His word? Or all I have to do is say I love Jesus? Or I have Jesus in my heart?

1Sa 15:22  Sh'mu'el said, "Does Adonai take as much pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying what Adonai says? Surely obeying is better than sacrifice, and heeding orders than the fat of rams.

1Sa 15:23  "For rebellion is like the sin of sorcery, stubbornness like the crime of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of Adonai, he too has rejected you as king."

Adonai desires obedience to His word. He equates disobedience to His word with sorcery. In the Torah Yehovah states that we are to stone to death a sorcerer. So if you say I love Jesus and are disobedient to HIS Commandments He says you are not part of His family because you are a sorcerer. If you don’t like His rules that means you are stubborn and this means by Scripture standards you are idolitor. Remember you are engrafted into the Olive tree not the Christmas tree.

THE COVENANT

The covenant of Adonai is what? First we accept Yeshua the Son as Messiah. Then we obey Their Teachings.

Gen 17:9  God said to Avraham, "As for you, you are to keep my covenant, you and your descendants after you, generation after generation.

Gen 17:10  Here is my covenant, which you are to keep, between me and you, along with your descendants after you: every male among you is to be circumcised.

Gen 17:11  You are to be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin; this will be the sign of the covenant between me and you.

Gen 17:12  Generation after generation, every male among you who is eight days old is to be circumcised, including slaves born within your household and those bought from a foreigner not descended from you.

Gen 17:13  The slave born in your house and the person bought with your money must be circumcised; thus my covenant will be in your flesh as an everlasting covenant.

Gen 17:14  Any uncircumcised male who will not let himself be circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin — that person will be cut off from his people, because he has broken my covenant."

Gen 17:15  God said to Avraham, "As for Sarai your wife, you are not to call her Sarai [mockery]; her name is to be Sarah [princess].

Gen 17:16  I will bless her; moreover, I will give you a son by her. Truly I will bless her: she will be a mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her."

Gen 17:17  At this Avraham fell on his face and laughed — he thought to himself, "Will a child be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah give birth at ninety?"

Gen 17:18  Avraham said to God, "If only Yishma`el could live in your presence!"

Gen 17:19  God answered, "No, but Sarah your wife will bear you a son, and you are to call him Yitz'chak [laughter]. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.

Gen 17:20  But as for Yishma`el, I have heard you. I have blessed him. I will make him fruitful and give him many descendants. He will father twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.

Gen 17:21  But I will establish my covenant with Yitz'chak, whom Sarah will bear to you at this time next year."

Gen 17:22  With that, God finished speaking with Avraham and went up from him.

Gen 17:23  Avraham took Yishma`el his son, all the slaves born in his house and all who had been bought with his money, every male among the people in Avraham's household, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin that very day, just as God had said to him.

Gen 17:24  Avraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin,

Gen 17:25  and Yishma`el his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

Gen 17:26  Avraham and Yishma`el his son were circumcised on the same day;

Gen 17:27  and all the men in his household, both slaves born in his house and those bought with money from a foreigner, were circumcised with him.

We see very plainly that all males who are part of the Israel be it Jew or Greek have to follow the same rules, no exceptions. The very key to this for the Gentile is the part in verse 12 and the word bought. H4736  מקנה  miqnâh  BDB Definition: 1) purchase 1a) purchase 1b) purchase-price 1c) possession (gained by purchase)

Simply put this word means to purchase. Did you ever wonder why Y’hudah “Judas” went and got the 30 pieces of silver. The world had to be purchased for the slave price fulfilling this piece of the Law.

Now if that is not enough to make you see the proper light. The next thing the Goyim who does not have a Jewish heart will say is; we just have to be circumcised of heart. “I have a circumcised heart”

Deu 10:16  Therefore, circumcise the foreskin of your heart; and don't be stiffnecked any longer!

Deu 10:17  For Adonai your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty and awesome God, who has no favorites and accepts no bribes.

How does one circumcise there heart? As you can very clearly see Yehovah already thought about people saying and doing everything to get around His teaching. The next thing we must also note when Yehovah gave the covenant of circumcision to Avraham was he under LAW or GRACE? Avraham like Adom & Chavah in the Gan Eden was under Grace because TORAH was not written in paper form.

Lev 12:1  Adonai said to Moshe,

Lev 12:2  "Tell the people of Isra'el: 'If a woman conceives and gives birth to a boy, she will be unclean for seven days with the same uncleanness as in niddah, when she is having her menstrual period.

Lev 12:3  On the eighth day, the baby's foreskin is to be circumcised.

As we can clearly see the covenant is now in paper form and has been written down for all to take part in this beautiful covenant from Adonai. You can’t say I didn’t know. Nobody told me.

Now the next thing the church loves to celebrate the last supper. Every Sunday they partake in this weekly ritual set up by man. The Pesach only comes once a year and should be kept as Holy in the manor prescribed by Yehovah. For this paper we are going to focus on a certain aspect of the last Seder “Pesach/Passover/supper”. There is something very important about the circumcision and who has the right to take part in eating of that last supper by Yehovah’s rules.

Exo 12:43  Adonai said to Moshe and Aharon, "This is the regulation for the Pesach lamb: no foreigner is to eat it.

Exo 12:44  But if anyone has a slave he bought for money, when you have circumcised him, he may eat it.

Only the Goyim willing to be obedient to this very simple command can partake of the last supper, the Passover, the Pesach. No person who does not graft themselves into the Hebrew olive tree and Yehovah’s rules will be allowed a seat at His table back then or in the future when Yeshua drinks that final cup of wine with us in the New heaven.

Exo 12:37  The people of Isra'el traveled from Ra`amses to Sukkot, some six hundred thousand men on foot, not counting children.

Exo 12:38  A mixed crowd also went up with them, as well as livestock in large numbers, both flocks and herds.

This is the account of the people leaving the freedom of the world to walk with Yehovah. Freedom from manmade rules of bondage and slavery to walk behind Yehovah in His footsteps. The reason from bringing this up is verse 38. It says a mixed crowd. That means the children of the bloodline of Avraham, Yitzchak & Ya’akov and the Goyim the nations. Those people would later say yes to the teachings of Yehovah in chapters 19 & 20 of Shm’ot/Exodus.

Now we come to the part of picking and choosing what we want to follow and not follow. We will say homosexuality is bad. We will say fornication is bad. We will say that adultery is bad. We may or may not keep the Shabbat. Is this ok with Yehovah to pick and choose what we like to follow and not to follow? NO!!! Why keep the Shabbat if you can change the covenant? If it was so important to change the day or worship or to stop circumcision why didn’t Yeshua say to change it or even mention it Himself once? He didn’t because Yeshua never changes.

The next thing the people without a Jewish heart say Paul tells us we don’t have to circumcise any more. So then Paul is a hypocrite and Yehovah has changed, may it never be.

Act 16:1  Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. And a disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek,

Act 16:2  and he was well spoken of by the brethren who were in Lystra and Iconium.

Act 16:3  Paul wanted this man to go with him; and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those parts, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.

There is no more argument Paul circumcised so if Paul preaches against circumcision later an ANY LETTER he is a hypocrite. He does not preach against circumcision if you understand that rav. Shaul “Paul” is writing to baby Messianic Congregation dealing with witches, pagans and other madness. So He is exhorting the leadership to focus on Yeshua as Messiah first then work on all the points of the LAWS OF YEHOVAH. When we are witnessing we do not focus on food first, that will come later. When presenting Yeshua as Messiah we must first get the person that is being witnessed to, to agree and give their heart to Yeshua. So as we can plainly see in verse 3 Sha’ul circumcises Timothy.

To further back up the claim that Sha’ul is TORAH compliant we see near the end of his life in Act 25 he states he never broke TORAH.

Act 25:8  In reply, Sha'ul said, "I have committed no offense — not against the Torah to which the Jews hold, not against the Temple, and not against the Emperor."

So Paul/Sha’ul never ate a ham sandwich, or worshipped on Sunday nothing that would be considered a sin in the eyes of Yehovah.

HEALTH

There is also major health reason not known by man at the time circumcision was given that is proven out by modern science today.

Lack of circumcision:

• Is responsible for a 12-fold higher risk of urinary tract infections in infancy. Risk = 1 in 20 to 1 in 50 for uncircumcised infants and 1 in 200 to 1 in 500 for circumcised infants. Higher risk of UTI at older ages as well. Overall lifetime cumulative prevalence of UTI = 1 in 3 for uncircumcised males compared with 1 in 20 for circumcised males, respectively.

• Confers a higher risk of death in the first year of life (from complications of urinary tract infections: namely kidney failure, meningitis and infection of bone marrow).

• One in ~400–900 uncircumcised men will get cancer of the penis,

• Higher risk of prostate cancer (50–100% higher in uncircumcised men)

• Is associated with 3-fold higher risk of inflammation and infection of the skin of the penis.

IN CONCLUSION

It comes down to this Scripture

1Sa 15:22  Sh'mu'el said, "Does Adonai take as much pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying what Adonai says? Surely obeying is better than sacrifice, and heeding orders than the fat of rams.

1Sa 15:23  "For rebellion is like the sin of sorcery, stubbornness like the crime of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of Adonai, he too has rejected you as king."

Did Yeshua ever say to change HIS LAW “TEACHINGS” NO!!! Mat 5:17-19 is very clear. The covenant between man and Yehovah is a cutting away of the foreskin or our hearts and of our body. Yeshua is the same yesterday, today and forever. If you do not follow the commandments and you have been told about them you are a rebellious child and Yehovah says He will cut you off. Circumcision is a salvational issue. If you are disobedient to Yehovah’s LAWS you do not love Him. As Yeshua said if you love me you will keep my commands. Yeshua wrote this also: Lev 12:3  On the eighth day, the baby's foreskin is to be circumcised. Remember it is not to late to get circumcised. Avraham was almost 100 years old when he circumcised himself.
