HB006 Yom Kippur going beyond the veil 2014
SYNOPSIS:
Why is this day the most important day of the year? Why does Yehovah on this day
say if you work on this day, “I will destroy you”? Why on this day does the King
of kings say to deny yourself three times? Why on this day do we go beyond the
veil? Why is this the holiest day of the year for true followers of Messiah?
SECTION 1: THE OFFERING.
Before the Cohen can make atonement for the people he must be willing to do an
offering for himself and his family. What is so important about this particular
burnt offering? In the 1600’s a group of people made a pact with Yehovah to set
this land for His purposes. 400 years later that purpose has been given away to
satan in spirit and in deed. Now it is time for a small group of true Messianic
believers to take it back and it starts with one offering on the right day.
SECTION 2: FEAR.
Imagine the thoughts going through the Cohen as he made his way toward the holy
place. From outside the Beit Hamidash, past the blazing alter, past the wash
basin, into the holy place…then into the most Holy place. The Cohen was an
educated man in the Torah of our God. He was going to meet with Yehovah face to
face. When we look at the references to the veil we find two things that might
happen. Would he the Cohen be found to be a prostitute or the bride of the
covenant?
SECTION 3: THE MARRIAGE UNDERSTANDING OF YOM KIPPUR.
Why does Yehovah tell the Cohen to meet with Him in the Chuppah? What is so
important about this place of divine protection for the Bride of Messiah and the
House of Israel?
SECTION 4: DENY YOURSELF.
Why is there one day of the year that Yehovah say we must fast? What is so
important about this simple little command given for this Holy Day? Why do we
not fast on any of the other Holy Days?
